Welcome
This is the home page of Michael Davis, a somewhat former member of the Thermal Geophysics Research Group at the University of Utah. I recently defended my PhD (Oct. 2012) entitled "Ground Temperature and Climate Change" advised by Doctor David Chapman. My research includes the analysis of climate signals in subsurface temperatures and maintenance of the Emigrant Pass Observatory in northwestern Utah.
I currently am working as a Lecturer in the Earth Science department at Utah Valley University.
Not so "Recent" News: We (Chapman and Davis) have a paper in the September 14, 2010, issue of Eos. Feel free to email me with questions or to request a reprint. See my presentations page for a copy of our figure 1, Earth's surface temperature: Past, present and future, and figure 2, Geothermics of climate change.
