Teaching
Professor Chapman teaches a variety of geophysics and Earth Science courses
to non-majors, undergraduate majors, and graduate students. He has designed
two courses that are regularly offered in the University's Liberal Education
program to non-science undergraduates: GG 1030 "Earthquakes and Volcanoes",
and GG 2230 "Global Change - Past, Present, and Future". He regularly
offers GG 5060 "Global Geophysics" to senior undergraduates and
beginning graduate students. And on alternate years he teaches GG 5240 "Heat
and Fluids", and GG 6920 "Special Topics in Geothermal Methods".
