The frequency of each radio channel available in our radio transceivers:
[+] denotes a channel that Geology & Geophysics is licensed to use. Due to licensing restrictions with the FCC, only the listed channels are allowed for non-coordinated, itinerant use.
[*] indicates a channel that the FCC has indicated has the greatest number of complaints of interference. All channels are primarily reserved for voice communications, with a secondary use for data telemetry. The channels are to be used in a cooperative manner (hence the need for Carrier Detect), but data transmissions must not interfere with voice communications. The FCC has noted that most of the complaints involving RTK data telemetry interfering with civilian voice communications happen on a few frequencies. Of these, only those marked are frequencies that our radios can use.
