Welcome! The Thermal Geophysics Research Group investigates thermal aspects of various geologic processes. The general areas we conduct research in include: regional heat flow studies, thermal state of the lithosphere, heat flow and mid-plate volcanism, geophysical characterization of geothermal systems, thermal aspects of plate interactions, thermal aspects of groundwater flow, influence of lithospheric thermal state on its' mechanical behavior, thermal histories of sedimentary basins, heat flow and hydrothermal circulation in the sea floor, and climate change inferred from borehole temperatures. This web site is designed to provide you with information about: who we are, what we do, courses we teach and class web pages, and much, much more. Use the menu bar in the left margin to find out more!
